Nature and Wildflower Photography

Saturday, April 4, 2009 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 

This workshop will be held at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. The day will begin with lectures and slide shows where will focus on the basics of nature photography.  We will include topics such as composition, lighting and other topics designed to help you improve your springtime photography. We will follow this by a section concentrating on the specific techniques of Wildflower and Close-Up Photography. After the formal instruction we will join you on the grounds of the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Concurrently we will be offering a session for those who would like a little help in understanding the controls on their cameras. This will be a great opportunity to photograph the flowers that you may want to enter into the photography contest being sponsored by the Botanical Gardens. We will be available to answer any questions that you might have while you are photographing. This workshop is perfect for photographers of all experience levels.

Environmental Portrait Photography

This workshop will be held a the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. The focus of this workshops is environmental portraiture. We will begin with tips and instruction for creating fun and interesting natural portraits. We will then go out into the gardens in small groups to practice photographing our models who will include children and teens and perhaps each other. The gardens will also be filled with colorful scarecrows which will make interesting subjects. We will be available to answer any questions that you might have while you are photographing. This workshop is perfect for photographers of all experience levels.
